OUR HISTORY
From a teenage bedroom hobby of mixing records to performing on VH1 in front of millions of viewers, Jordan aka DJ Royale has always been fueled by curiosity, creativity, and desire to connect more deeply with others. This early passion for music paired with a zest to throw parties when his parents vacationed set the foundation for his future vocation as DJ & Experience Curator. It was later while studying abroad in Rome at Temple University that he found himself opening for legendary DJ Jazzy Jeff … this was the lightbulb moment.

From here, Jordan dedicated his entire life to the mastery and artform of DJing and curating culture-niche events in Philadelphia, New York, and beyond. His talent elevated him to perform in places like Colombia & Cuba and alongside stars like Lil Jon, Questlove, Diplo, & more. His approachable personality helped him to forge relationships with some of the best DJs and musicians in the tri-state area.
As his peers outgrew nightclub culture, his phone began to ring for company holiday parties and wedding celebrations with common statements like, “We need a dope DJ or musician, not a corny wedding DJ”. Jordan quickly realized the market of private event DJs lacked the energy, skill, and creativity of club DJs, and club DJs poorly understood the service & hospitality needed to fulfill the professionalism sought by couples and clients. This all led to the birth of Bonita Sound.
