Shino perfectly executed our ceremony music - bringing all his own equipment - with little instruction from us. Guests had tears in their eyes during the ceremony.

We had a great dance party featuring all my favorite songs. I danced to every single song at the wedding. How many brides can say that?!

  • What does it cost to book your wedding DJs?
    The cost of booking a wedding DJ varies depending on several factors, such as location, DJ availability, date, package, and the overall needs of the couple. For the Philadelphia area, couples can expect to spend an average of $2,000 to $4,000 on one of our wedding DJ's. Our all-day package, which is quite popular, ranges between $2,400 and $3,500. We also offer a variety live music options at an additional cost. Keep in mind that final pricing will depend on the specific details of your event and the services you require.
  • How far in advance should I book a wedding DJ?
    Ideally, you should book a wedding DJ 8-12 months in advance. This allows us to have our schedule properly mapped out and ensures that we can accommodate your desired date. However, some clients do choose to book sooner, and we always strive to accommodate their needs as best as possible.
  • How much do you normally tip a wedding DJ?
    Tipping a wedding DJ is at your discretion and based on your level of satisfaction with their performance. On average, clients tend to tip around 10% of the total cost. However, it's important to tip whatever amount you feel is appropriate and generous based on your experience with the DJ's service and performance.
  • What is your policy on cancellations, rescheduling, or refunds?
    Our policy requires a nonrefundable 30% deposit to hold the date for your event. In the case of cancellations or rescheduling, we will revisit the situation and work with you to find the best possible solution. We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, and we strive to be flexible and accommodating whenever possible.
  • Can I provide a list of specific songs or genres I want to be played at my wedding reception?
    Yes, we encourage couples to provide their preferences as well as their dislikes when it comes to music selection. We appreciate your input and will incorporate your desired songs and genres into the event. Ultimately it's important to remember that you are hiring professionals who are skilled at reading the crowd and adapting to the atmosphere in the moment. Our goal is to create the perfect musical experience for you and your guests.
  • How do you handle song requests from guests?
    When handling guest requests, we take into consideration the preferences of the couple, as well as the demographic of the crowd, to determine if a request should be honored or not. Our priority is to create a cohesive and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone while respecting the couple's wishes and the overall mood of the event.
  • What live musicians can Bonita Sound provide?
    We offer a diverse range of live musicians and talent to cater to your specific event needs. Our selection includes: Acoustic strings Electric strings Violin Saxophone Trumpet Trombone Brass horns Drums Congas We strive to provide the perfect musical accompaniment to make your event truly beautiful and memorable.
  • Can you provide a full wedding band?
    While we do not offer a traditional wedding band, our clients find the DJ + live musicians combo to be an exiting and memorable option. Wedding bands often cost upwards of $10,000, this effect can be achieved at half the price with a DJ and musician. Its the perfect hybrid of both experiences that allows you to enjoy your favorite tracks in their original form, while adding the style and excitement of live musicians. This setup caters to both your family's preference for a wedding band and your desire for a DJ.
  • Can you provide music for the ceremony?
    Yes, we can definitely provide music during the wedding ceremony. Our all-day package covers DJ music curation for both your ceremony and cocktail hour. In addition to DJ-curated playlists, we also offer live musicians at an additional cost to further enhance the atmosphere of your special day.
  • Do you play music during cocktail hour?
    Yes, we do play music during the cocktail hour as part of our all-day package. This package, which is our most popular wedding package, covers music and setup for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. With the all-day package, our team ensures that music is seamlessly played throughout each component of your special day, including using an iPad for the ceremony and cocktail hour.
  • Do you provide sound and lighting?
    Yes, we provide both sound and lighting services to ensure the best experience at your event. Our sound system utilizes top-of-the-line audio gear, taking into consideration the size, scope, and setting of the environment to deliver impactful sound without being overbearing or aggressive. We strive for a warm and immersive audio experience. As for lighting, we offer base-level options such as uplights and dance floor lighting. If you require additional or elaborate lighting, such as disco balls or club-style lighting, we have the ability to work with partner vendors to fulfill those needs. We can help connect the dots and ensure your event has the perfect ambiance.
  • Do you serve as an MC?
    Absolutely! All our wedding talent are skilled in MC and hosting duties. We prepared to make introductions and ensure the event runs smoothly. Whether it's introducing the bride and groom or hyping up the crowd, we love creating a memorable and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
  • Can you accommodate special setups, like outdoor ceremonies or multiple locations at the wedding venue?
